"During searches at the detainees, more than $1.2 million in cash and a luxury fleet of cars were found," - DBR reported in a communiqué.

The detainees, including the head of the military records department and the former head of the military medical commission, held influential positions that significantly affected the conscription process.

The DBR stated that officers of the conscription commission formed a criminal group that provided services to men who wanted to avoid military service.

A set of documents was prepared for the clients, enabling them to be removed from the military register. The price of such a package ranged from $2,000 to $15,000.

During searches of the suspects' homes, documents and records were found that could indicate that thousands of people subject to compulsory military service were illegally deregistered and avoided mobilization.

DBR officers also confiscated 11 luxury cars, each worth more than $100,000.

At the same military commission, another two employees were detected entering false data into the state register of conscripts. This enabled them to avoid military service and travel abroad during martial law, potentially putting the security of the country at risk.
