Zofia, Anna and Dorota are good old friends. Zofia is a living-alone single
lady in her forties and she visits her friend Dorota, who rents a villa out of
town. Anna is a doctor and she is also supposed to turn up. In the past, these
three women used to cooperate with the "Solidarity" movement and now
they meet from time to time to gossip and reminisce about the old times. This
time Anna brings with her some visitors who are a young and happy married
couple and for whom the memories of the middle-aged ladies sound distant and
somewhat ridiculous. When looking at these young people, Zofia realizes that by
engaging in the political activities she has wasted her private life. The TV is
on and in one of the programs Ms Łukowska is being interviewed; she used to be
a party activist and is now the businesswoman of the year. In the past she
contributed to the seizing of Zofia's passport as her boyfriend stayed abroad.
As a result of being apart, Zofia’s relationship ended. After some time Dorota
and Anna, who saw the grief of Zofia, invite Ms Łukowska to the villa. The
ladies plan peer tribunal and they want to bring Ms Łukowska to justice. On
this occasion, they discover the passions and existence of which they probably
have not been aware.
