On October 28, 2017, IMAGO, European Federation of Cinematographers granted the main prize to Łukasz Żal for his camerawork for the “Icon” directed by Wojciech Kasperski. This film also received Jury Prize in the Otredades section of the Mexico DocsMX Festival held in October.
During the fourth edition of the Szczecin European Film Festival, which finished on October 23, 2017, the prize within the "The Boundaries of Cinema section ", funded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, received the film "21 x New York" directed by Piotr Stasik. This documentary also received the Silver Castle - the award of the 21st International Documentary Film Festival Off Cinema, organized by the Castle Culture Centre in Poznań.
The documentary film "Two Worlds" directed by Maciej Adamek received a special award at the BOSIFEST (Belgrade International Film Festival for and by People with Disabilities ) held in Serbia on 12 October. This is a festival for people with disabilities, which for the last eight years has been showing the best videos from all over the world presenting the problems of this social group.
Another co-production of TVP2 - a film directed by Michał Marczak "All These Sleeping Nights" – has been listed on the List of submissions to the 91st Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and has a chance to become a nominee for the most honoured film award in the world.
Maciej Adamek’s documentary film "Two Worlds" received the ARKIPEL Jury Prize at the Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival in Indonesia. There were 31 films selected from 1722 entries from 80 countries.
