TVP Polish Public Television series "People and Gods", directed by Bodo Kox, telling about the activities of a counterintelligence unit with a code-named "Claw" during WWII was warmly welcomed by the Polish audience. The first season was watched by an average of over 2.3 million viewers, which translates into 14.8 % of tv market share among all viewers.

The production ranked high in the audience rankings: the series became the leader of the daypart, and one of the last episodes of season 1, aired on September 13, took high, third place in the ranking of all TV series in the autumn schedule. The first season was broadcast every Sunday on TVP1 at 8:15 PM. TVP continues to work on the second season. 

“People and Gods” presents events related to the activities of the unit with a code-named "Claw", which was part of the armed underground in the structures of the Home Army during WWII in Warsaw. The inspiration for the creators of the series was the famous counterintelligence unit established in 1941, one of the main tasks of which was to eliminate people sentenced by the underground courts. The main characters of the series are two friends: the commander of the "Claw" unit, Leszek Zaremba, a.k.a "Onyx" and Tadeusz Korzeniewski alias "Dagger".
