According to the ministry’s preliminary data, 846,500 unemployed people were registered in labor offices.
“During the winter months, the unemployment rate is usually higher each year than in the other months due to the lower intensity of seasonal work. This is a cyclical and natural phenomenon,” it added.
Among the registered unemployed at the end of February 2024, there were 13,700 Ukrainian citizens, accounting for 1.6% of the total number of unemployed.
“Compared to the state at the end of February 2022,
the number of unemployed Ukrainian citizens registered in labor offices increased by almost nine times and by 600 compared to the previous month,” the ministry said.
According to preliminary data, employers reported 94,500 job and employment program vacancies to labor offices, up by 500, or 0.5%, year on year.
