This rate is nearly four times higher than the EU average of 3.8%.
Despite the double-digit growth, the rise marks a slight cooling in Poland’s housing market compared to the 18% annual increase observed in the previous two quarters.
Bulgaria topped the EU ranking with a house price increase of 16.5% during the same period.
Other countries experiencing significant rises included Croatia (12.3%), the Netherlands (10.3%) and Portugal (9.8%).
Conversely, house prices fell in Finland, Luxembourg and France, the only EU countries to record declines.
Rents across the EU also saw an uptick, rising by 3.2% in the third quarter of 2024. Since 2010, EU house prices have increased by 54.1% and rents by 26%.
In Poland, these figures were significantly higher, with house prices up by 98% and rents by around 80% over the same period.
