As part of the hook-up, InPost will become the club’s official e-commerce parcel provider, with fans able to collect their online purchases from the firm’s network of lockers.
The agreement will see lockers installed at the club’s Cívitas Metropolitano stadium as well as Atlético’s partner cities of Alcala de Henares and Majadahonda.
The firm will also have a visual presence both on and off Atlético’s pitch during LaLiga fixtures and will have a spot in the fan zone outside the stadium.
Rafał Brzoska, the brand’s CEO and founder, noted that Spain has become one of the group’s fastest-growing markets: “In the first quarter of 2024 alone, the number of InPost points in Spain increased by 87% year-on-year,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
Brzoszka, who founded InPost in 2006, added: “I believe that this cooperation with Atlético Madrid will further strengthen the local awareness of the InPost brand in Spain and that millions of more Spanish football fans will fall in love with InPost deliveries.”
This, though, is not InPost’s first flirtation with the sporting world. Since 2022, the firm has been a sponsor of Poland’s national football team, and in 2023, the company entered into partnership agreements with Newcastle United.
