During his five-day official visit to China, the president will meet China’s President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, address economic forums in Dalian and Shanghai, and present decorations at the Polish embassy.

Duda reported that the countries are set to sign several economic agreements, “but the most important are the ongoing efforts, which hopefully will culminate in a successful opening of the Chinese market for Polish poultry,” and later beef.

Duda said that his talks with Jinping would also focus on increasing Chinese investment in Poland and the need for new transport routes as the import and export of goods from China are now hampered by the war in Ukraine and the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border.

The president announced he would touch on the friendly relations between China, Russia, and Belarus, providing a Polish perspective on the situation.

“It is no secret that China’s influence, including its influence on Russia, is certainly enormous. To bring our perspective on this issue to President Xi Jinping, in my view, is crucial,” he added before departing for the Asian country on Saturday.
