Krakow’s “Bottiglieria 1881” and Warsaw’s “Europejski Grill” were voted two of the best by international food service industry representatives and critics as well as food lovers from outside the industry.

The World Culinary Awards is an international competition that pays tribute to the world’s leading food establishments in over 40 different categories.

It is known as the “little brother” of the World Travel Awards, which has been held since 1994.

The jury recognized “Bottiglieria 1881” as the best restaurant in Poland.

It is the first Polish restaurant in history to receive two stars in the prestigious Michelin Guide, with a menu based on local ingredients and a modern interpretation of traditional Polish cuisine.

“Bottiglieria 1881” took the title from last year’s winner, Krakow’s “Fiorentina,” which, together with Warsaw’s “Butchery & Wine,” reached the finals of this year’s edition of the competition.

The title of the best hotel restaurant in Poland was awarded to “Europejski Grill”, located in Raffles Europejski hotel in Warsaw.

It beat four other Polish restaurants nominated in this category: “3 Rybki” in the Hotel Stary in Krakow, “Fusion” in the Westin in Warsaw, “Platter by Karol Okrasa” in the InterContinental (also in Warsaw) and “Szóstka” in the Hotel Warszawa.
