Wordware has created a platform that would allow users to develop artificial intelligence systems using plain English. The funding round is one of the largest ever for a Polish startup at this early stage.

The platform eliminates the need for programming skills, empowering experts in fields like law and medicine to design AI systems tailored to their specific needs.

Wordware's co-founder, Filip Kozera said: “Experts, not programmers, understand the nuances of their domains and know how to achieve the desired outcome.”

The funding round attracted major U.S. investors, including Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator, all known for backing successful tech companies such as Slack, Discord, and Airbnb.

While the development marks a milestone for Poland’s tech scene, Polish daily Rzeczpospolita notes concerns that the acquisition of Polish startups by foreign companies could lead to missed opportunities for long-term national growth.
