The croc, called “Dwójka” (“Two” in Polish), left for Tallinn on Thursday.
Caretakers at Warsaw Zoo said that when Dwójka thought it was about to rain, she would refuse to go out into her outdoor enclosure.
“We have relied on her forecast many times and she has never let us down!” they added.
Cuban crocodiles are considered the most aggressive of their species, with wide, flat teeth adapted to crushing turtle shells, and strong hind legs enabling them to jump and run at speeds of up to 17 kilometers per hour.
In the wild, the species is found only in the Zapata Swamp in northwestern Cuba and in the swamps of Isla de la Juventud, an island in the Caribbean Sea.
The Cuban crocodile is a critically endangered species. One reason is illegal hunting, which has increased since the 1990s. The meat of these reptiles is sold to private restaurants catering to tourists or eaten by local residents.
