Biden’s ‘sole decision’ whether to resign from presidential race or fight, says Polish MEP As calls grow for U.S. President Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, a Polish member of the European Parliament (MEP) says that it is up to Biden alone to decide whether he wants to resign from the race or continue to fight.

As calls grow for U.S. President Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, a Polish member of the European Parliament (MEP) says that it is up to Biden alone to decide whether he wants to resign from the race or continue to fight.

In an exclusive interview with TVP World, Michał Kobosko from Renew Europe and Poland 2050, says that there is mounting pressure from the Democratic Party on Biden to consider dropping out of the race, especially considering “there isn’t much time left.”

Democrats are worried that Biden will not be able to beat former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, in the U.S. presidential election scheduled to be held on November 5 and lead the country for another four-year term.

Biden, currently isolating with COVID-19 at his beach house in Delaware, has been urged to step down from the race after a poor debate performance in late June raised fresh concerns about the 81-year-old’s age.

Touching upon the replacement for Biden, Kobosko believes that Kamala Harris, U.S. vice president, is the best candidate.

“Frankly speaking, I do not see today any other possible candidates rather than Vice President Kamala Harris,” Kobosko told TVP World.
