Shmyhal outlined the main areas of interest where Kyiv offers investment projects to Japanese companies.

“The Ukrainian government is analyzing the experiences of Japanese modernization - everything that has enabled the economy of this country to become one of the top five in the world,” the prime minister said in a statement on Telegram.

Among the most important topics discussed during the conference in Tokyo were issues related to energy, the agricultural sector, rebuilding Ukrainian infrastructure, the automotive industry, mining, digital technologies, and cybersecurity.

The head of the government, on behalf of himself and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed gratitude to the authorities and society of Japan for the support provided to Kyiv during the war with Russia.

He stressed that since February 2022, the beginning of the Kremlin’s full-scale invasion, Japan has provided Ukraine with various forms of assistance worth over USD 10 billion.
