Scott Lucas, a professor of American Studies at University College Dublin and an expert on migration issues, told TVP World that “we need to challenge the far right by not saying this is not an issue of us versus them, of inside versus outside.”
He added: “This is an issue of fundamental rights as well as the ability of both those who live within a country, the citizens, and those who are trying to find security and safety, having some type of ability in terms of housing, health care, education, all the basic services that we count on day to day.”
