Oleg Ozerov was given the letter on Tuesday following the crashes, which occurred Sunday. The letter also criticized Russia over its alleged interference in Moldova's general election last month, the Ukrainian news website pravda.com reported.
The first drone was discovered in Căușeni District, in the southeast of the country. Later on Sunday, another was found in the north in Rîșcani, after a massive Russian drone attack against Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force reported that 10 drones had left Ukrainian airspace toward Russia, Belarus and Moldova. Moldova has previously found debris from Russian drones after air attacks on Ukraine, the Ukrainian news website censor.net reported.
The letter said that "such aggressive incursions are a serious violation and unfriendly gesture on the part of the Russian Federation and endanger the lives of civilians."
Although the drones were decoy ones used to mislead air defenses, their intrusion into the Moldovan airspace has raised fears in Moldova that a rogue armed drone could lead to death and destruction if it comes down on Moldovan territory.
