The decision was announced at the party's rally in Warsaw on Saturday.

Speaking at the event Zandberg called for a "decade-long plan" to modernise Poland.

"We must commit to building something consistently over the next 10 years and then get it done, no matter which party governs," he said.

Among his priorities, the presidential hopeful mentioned long-term national strategies in energy and healthcare

He argued that energy must not only be clean and affordable but also stable with nuclear power ensuring stable energy supplies

"Nuclear power is the only solution here," he said and proposed a cross-party agreement to build eight nuclear reactors, each with a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts.

Zandberg also criticised the current government's healthcare spending as insufficient.

"Under a new president, we should reach a cross-party consensus to allocate 8 percent of GDP to healthcare," which, in his opinion, "is the minimum required to restore the functionality of the sector."

According to a recent poll done by Poland’s CBOS, Partia Razem has 2% of general support.

The presidential election is scheduled for May 18, with a potential runoff on June 1 if no candidate secures an outright majority in the first round.

Zandberg's high-profile contenders include Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski of the centrist Civic Coalition (KO), the senior ruling coalition party, Karol Nawrocki, head of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), backed by the main opposition, socially-conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party and Szymon Hołownia, speaker of Poland's lower house, the candidate of two coalition government parties, his own centre-right Poland 2050 and pro-farmer Polish People's Party (PSL).

President Andrzej Duda will complete his second five-year term in August 2025 and is prevented by the constitution from running again.
