During the “Head of State & Government Spotlight” session, he was asked to respond to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s skepticism about a Ukrainian victory and his remarks that “there is no victory” for Kyiv.

“It depends on how we understand the issue of victory”, he said, adding that the primary goal should be to thwart a Russian win in the region.

Reflecting on his recent visit to the United States, Duda expressed satisfaction and gratitude towards U.S. authorities for their decisive support of Ukraine.

He said: “A Russian offensive is practically certain, and we expect it could begin in the next few weeks.”

When questioned about the possibility of Poland providing Ukraine with the Patriot air defense system, the president said that it would be challenging to allocate units to Ukraine before ensuring Poland’s own defense needs are met.

The Qatar Economic Forum is an annual gathering that brings together heads of government and a select group of CEOs from prominent international corporations to engage in discussions regarding the current state of the global economy.

Earlier, the Polish head of state met the emir of Qatar to discuss cooperation in the security and military sectors.

Duda is also scheduled to meet with Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister of Malaysia, and Prabowo Subianto, the president-elect of Indonesia, both of whom are attending the forum.

Later on Tuesday, the president has planned to meet with Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Qatar’s transport minister.

He also plans to visit Polish soldiers from the Polish Military Contingent in Iraq stationed at the Al Udeid base, southwest of Doha.
