In a post on the X platform on Monday, Duda also conveyed Trump’s best wishes to the Polish people on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

Duda tweeted that Trump had expressed his gratitude to Polish Americans for their support in last week’s presidential election.

“We arranged to meet before he officially takes office, which will be in January,” Duda tweeted.

“We also discussed Poland’s presidency [of the EU, in the first half of 2025] and one of its priorities, which is strengthening our ties.”
