The announcement came during Laurynas Kasčiūnas’s ongoing visit to Kyiv, where he met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the current needs of the Ukrainian army and the development of the defense industry.

Zelenskyy posted a video on his Telegram profile, in which he discussed with Kasčiūnas issues such as the development of the defense-industrial complex and the primary defense needs of Ukraine.

In the video, Kasčiūnas says Russia is relocating its troops from Kaliningrad to the Kursk region.

Earlier on Tuesday, President Zelensky said that Ukraine has already gained control over 74 settlements in the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian President said that inspections, stabilization measures, and humanitarian efforts are underway in these territories. Zelenskyy also mentioned that preparations for future actions are in progress. According to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky, the Armed Forces have made advancements of one to three kilometers in various directions in the Kursk region over the past day.
