A parliamentary committee in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been told by the country’s intelligence service that over the past 90 days, a group was involved in training young people to cause unrest in Moldova, the Radio Free Europe (RFE) Balkan Service reported on Tuesday, citing the Moldovan police.
Bosnian news site Klix reported that seven Russian citizens were responsible for training agents provocateurs in the country.
Moldovan security services
said last week they were investigating the training of over 300 young people in Russia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On Sunday, Moldovans
went to the polls
to choose their next president and simultaneously to vote on whether to enshrine the country’s EU aspirations in their constitution.
Despite allegations of
election meddling by Russia, Moldova voted by
a slim majority to formalize its EU membership intentions.
