Donald Trump's election victory earlier this month has prompted speculation over the course American foreign policy will take when it comes to Ukraine. On the campaign trail, Trump claimed that he would end the Russia-Ukraine war even before he formally entered the White House in January.
Trump “would press Ukraine to negotiate some kind of armistice. And this armistice, of course, would mean leaving Ukrainian territories under Russian control for some indefinite period,” Riabchuk said.
He added that this “Korean solution” is not a solution “but a frozen conflict.”
“Trump would most likely proceed with this” plan, he continued.
