Authorizing strikes deep within Russia using weapons provided by NATO “would put the world at greater risk of nuclear conflagration than at any time since the Cuban missile crisis,” the jointly penned article said.

Analysts favoring escalation are “mistaking restraint for weakness,” the editorial claimed, adding that “they are advocating a strategy of brinksmanship” and that “each escalation... draws the world closer to the brink of Armageddon.”

The writers highlighted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned several times he would use nuclear weapons in extreme circumstances.

“Imagine if Russia were providing another country with missiles, training and targeting information to strike deep into American territory," they wrote. “The U.S. would never tolerate it. We shouldn’t expect Russia to tolerate it either.”

“We cannot get any closer to the brink than this,” they said, claiming that Washington is pursuing a “neoconservative fantasy of global 'full-spectrum dominance'.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an environmental lawyer and public health advocate. He also has a long-standing reputation for promoting controversial theories, including that the COVID-19 virus was genetically engineered and that vaccines can cause autism.

Donald Trump Jr. is executive vice president of the Trump Organization, a holding company for Donald Trump’s business interests.
