Ambassador Mark Brzezinski addressed the press and a crowd of U.S. expatriates at a post-election breakfast held at the Prezydencki Hotel in Warsaw on Wednesday morning.

He said: “I can assure you that the close friendship between Poland and the United States will continue.”

Poland looks to the U.S. as the main guarantor of its security, even as it boosts military spending to a record level amid the war in neighboring Ukraine.

Brzezinski said that both “Vice President Harris and former President Trump visited Poland and have great things to say about Poles.

“And they both agree that Poland plays an important role in ensuring the security and prosperity of Europe.”

Speaking to Polish state news agency PAP, Brzezinski added: “President Trump has a long, positive history in terms of the American-Polish relationship.”
