The fire, which broke out at around 8 p.m., resulted in toxic substances being released into the air after the roof collapsed.
“We ask local residents, if possible, not to open their windows and stay indoors,” the local fire department wrote on Facebook at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
“Thanks to efficient action, neighboring buildings were saved,” the local department added.
It took the firefighters some four hours to get the fire under control, and there were no reports of injuries.
A specialist Chemical Rescue Group was deployed to the site of the blaze to test the air for traces of toxic fumes.
There is no information as to the cause of the fire.
