The man, who has not been named, left officers in the south-west town of Złotoryja dumbfounded when he produced a white crystalline substance wrapped in aluminum foil.

Saying he had developed a skin allergy because of the drug, he asked if the police could check to see if it had been mixed with another chemical.

Fulfilling his request, the substance was tested and found to be highly addictive and dangerous methamphetamine.
