Officers from the Central Investigation Bureau of Police (CBŚP) swooped on a remote property on the outskirts of a small town in Podlaskie, where they found close to 120 liters of narcotics and four Mexican men.

Equipment and chemicals used in drug production were also seized and sent for further forensic analysis.

A police spokesman said: “Thanks to increased operational work, the police identified a place where drugs were supposed to be produced.

“At the end of last week, officers from the Department for Combating Organized Drug Crime carried out operations on the premises of a previously identified property in the Podlaskie Province, where an illegal methamphetamine laboratory was discovered.” The Mexicans have now been charged with leading and participating in an organized criminal group and producing significant quantities of methamphetamine.

The group is suspected of producing and distributing drugs throughout Poland.
