The animal was rescued after being found lying on the side of a road by a drunk student vet calling herself Lisu.

Posting adorable photos of the frog online, Lisu said: “A while ago I was coming home drunk at night and found a trampled frog with a broken leg, which I sent halfway across Poland to the wonderful @koturatura for the girls to put back together!”

After receiving the frog and taking an X-ray of its damaged leg, the veterinary technician known online as Koturatura was able to identify the extent of the damage.
She later posted: “It wasn't all that simple and obvious because, as it turned out, there aren't many sources talking about the orthopedic treatment of frogs.

“The guy also had a nasty wound on his leg, so he also had to have the right antibiotic, painkillers and a huge calcium supplement.”

After fixing the breakages and healing the wound, Koturatura carefully wrapped the leg in a plaster cast and waited for it to heal before returning the frog to the wild.

Upon hearing news of the success, delighted Lisu posted before-and-after pics of the frog online, alongside an X-ray of the broken leg.

The photos have since gone viral, with both the trainee vet and technician being flooded with praise for their Kermit-ment to helping the injured frog.

One fan wrote: “To say that you're f***ing awesome with a wonderful heart is saying nothing, let's hope it breeds in the wild and you'll be like a godmother to a group of croaking amphibians.” Another posted: “I had no idea I would ever see a real frog with a leg in a cast. I wish there were more people like you and the world would be a better place.”

Yet another said: “Nooo unbelievable, I would never have thought. Frog, X-ray, cast - you did not only make my day, but my whole week. I admire and respect you.”
