Spokesperson of the Polish interior ministry Jacek Dobrzyński announced on Friday that the TikToker, “Crawly” – his real name is Vladyslav O – had been detained and handed over to the Border Guard. He was expelled from the country on Saturday.

The man “was detained by police officers from the Capital Police Station and Border Guard officers by a decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration,” Dobrzyński said.

“[Vladyslav O] has already returned to Ukraine. He is banned from re-entering the Schengen area for the next 10 years,” he added.

Crawly has been described as a “pathostreamer,” which is someone who live streams videos of themselves on the internet while producing “pathological” content, such as harassing and upsetting people for viewers’ entertainment.

“Crawly” became viral this summer for his series of stunts at shopping malls while dressed as a green wizard. Among his exploits include climbing on counters in shops, clinging onto customers and provoking security personnel. He was recently recorded alongside several teenagers wearing cardboard boxes over their heads as they jumped on parked cars and bashed them, causing visible damage.

The incident, which the authorities confirmed was staged because the cars were previously brought on tow trucks, prompted widespread criticism online. Many Polish users demanded authorities take more decisive action against the influencer. Konrad Berkowicz, a politician for the far-right Konfederacja party, appealed for Crawly’s expulsion from Poland. A non-governmental organization also requested the Border Guard to expel the TikToker.
