Bacardi, a Russian Blue from the northern city of Gdańsk, won the accolade at the 2024 FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline) World Show in Oslo on November 3.

Bacardi received the award in a special category for neutered pets.

The fantastic feline was bred by Joanna Kowalczyk and her daughter Pola, who run the Et Cetera Blue PL cattery and are members of the Kingdom of Cats association.

A Kingdom of Cats representative told the trojmiasto.pl website that Bacardi is the only cat in Poland to hold the title of World Winner 2024.

“This is a real sensation and a spectacular success for the girls," Paweł Hać said.

Russian Blues are also known as Archangel Blues and Maltese cats and are a favorite with cat lovers due to their affectionate temperament and silver-blue coat.
