Andrzej Babiński collided with another paraglider on Sunday while preparing for the Paragliding World Cup.
A search party was sent to locate Babiński after efforts to airlift him on Monday failed.
But on Tuesday, the third day of his ordeal, a helicopter took the injured aviator to a hospital in the town of Palampur in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
After Monday’s airlift failed due to hazardous landing conditions, a rescue team reached Babiński and moved him to a location from which he could be picked up.
The costs of his helicopter rescue were covered by his insurance company, India’s Hindustan Times reported on Wednesday.
Last week, two paragliders were killed in accidents in Himachal Pradesh.
