The event, organized by the World Confederations of Coiffure and Aesthetics, drew contestants from more than 30 countries.
The delighted stylist, Eliza Filak, said: “The championship in Italy was an amazing experience. The competition was huge. It's a great honor and a reason for joy for me.”
Held as part of the Hair and Beauty Congress between October 26 and 28, the contest brought Filak her third distinction this year.
In March, she finished second in the Polish championships in the ‘Senior – Barbering’ category and in September she was runner-up in the CMC Open International Cup held in Warsaw.
Judges assessed hairdressers on their execution, precision and time taken, as well as the final visual effect, Bytom.pl, her hometown’s website, reported.
She has run her own salon in Bytom for 27 years.
