Intense storms swept through Poland on Tuesday afternoon and evening, causing widespread destruction. Firefighters were busiest in the northern Pomeranian and central Mazovian regions, overall dealing with 4,998 incidents nationwide.

By Wednesday morning, approximately 10,000 people in the northeastern Warmian-Masurian region were still without power. At the height of the outages, 21,000 customers lost electricity as electricians worked through the night to restore service.

The storms wreaked havoc across the country, flooding roads with water and debris from fallen trees and blocking several routes. High precipitation led to flooded basements, requiring firefighters to pump out the water.
Multiple individuals sustained injuries from falling tree branches and damaged electrical equipment.

Additionally, the storms devastated crops in various regions, leaving some fields completely destroyed.

Polish authorities warned of the possibility of more severe weather and urged residents to exercise caution.

Efforts are ongoing to assess the full extent of the damage and restore normalcy to the affected areas.
