According to sources serving in Ukraine’s special services, several servers and sites were targeted, among them those belonging to the police force, the United Russia party, as well as the ER.RU and edinros domains.

Despite Russian claims to the contrary, many pages are currently down.

Earlier in the day, United Russia admitted that there had been a large-scale DDoS attack on all of its electronic services.

The news comes just weeks after another crippling attack by Ukrainian cyber specialists. On March 4, government hackers breached Russian Defence Ministry servers and were able to obtain orders, reports, directives and information on leadership.
