The individual was trying to cross the border near the Bieszczady Mountains that straddle southern Poland and Ukraine. He came prepared, equipped with camping gear, including a sleeping bag, hiking boots, a raincoat, and a rope.

His daring plan unraveled as he sustained a serious leg injury during a risky leap from the train, prompting a swift response from Ukrainian border guards, who located and rescued him, Polsat said.

Soon after the rescue, administrative proceedings against the man began.
