During the three-day competition, the team from Krakow scored a total of 392.76 points, ahead of two teams from the U.S.: Team Mountaineers (391.80 points) and BYU Mars Rover (374.24).

In September 2023 AGH Space Systems team also won the 9th edition of the European Rover Challenge Mars rover competition in Kielce.

The University Rover Challenge (URC) is a prestigious international competition of Mars rovers built by students.
The Challenge is held at the Mars Desert Research Station, in the Utah desert in the United States, in cooperation with scientists working in the space sector on a daily basis, including at NASA.

The competition includes a series of tasks that replicate the real challenges faced by rovers sent to Mars.

This year's finals of the competition featured 38 teams from 10 countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, Japan, India, Mexico, Poland, Turkey and the United States.

Poland was represented by two teams: AGH Space Systems and students from Wroclaw University of Technology with the Scorpio rover.

Teams from Polish universities have been participating in the University Rover Challenge since 2009 and have had numerous successes. The first of which was back in 2011, when the Magma2 rover, prepared at the Białystok University of Technology, took the top step of the podium.
