Zmarzlik finished second in the Grand Prix final in Vojens, Denmark, a result that secured him world crown with one round to spare.

Heading into the event, Zmarzlik needed to outperform Sweden’s Fredrik Lindgren by at least four points to secure the championship.

Lindgren’s early struggles, including a crash in his opening heat, dashed his hopes of challenging for the title. Meanwhile, Britain’s Robert Lambert, who also had a chance, won the final, but Zmarzlik’s second-place finish sealed his championship victory. Zmarzlik’s triumph places him among the sport’s greats, equaling Sweden’s Ove Fundin with five titles. Only Ivan Mauger and Tony Rickardsson, both with six world titles, stand ahead of the Polish star. This is Zmarzlik's third consecutive championship, having previously won in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023. His latest victory solidifies his status as one of the sport’s all-time legends.

The final round of this year's Speedway Grand Prix series will take place in Toruń, Poland, on September 28.
