Kiwior played the majority of his fledgling career at centre back for club and country but has been mostly deployed as a left back by Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta. He notched two assists in his previous three games as a starter, against Burnley, and, most notably, title contenders Liverpool.

The short term absence of Ukrainian Zinchenko and long term injury to Jurrien Timber has opened up the full back slot and Kiwior has started to look increasingly comfortable there.

Matty Cash made his fourth consecutive appearance in Aston Villa's starting lineup. The Poland international’s team won 4:2 against Nottingham Forest.

Cash has also started four games in a row for Unai Emery's team. The Poland right back has been notching up some good performances in the Premier League recently. Aston Villa, after two defeats to Manchester United and Chelsea, won against Fulham, and on Saturday beat Nottingham Forest 4:2. However, the British media had mixed reactions to his overall performance this weekend.

"He often attacked down the right side as his team launched attack after attack, but he will be disappointed that he won only two of the six duels," ‘astonvillanews.co.uk’ reported.

"He played very well in the first half and played a key role in building the action that led to the second goal for Villa. He was late in the loss of the second goal scored by Gibbs-White. He made good use of the ball in a key sector of the field," Birmingham Live stated.

Both Kiwor and Cash, barring injuries, will play important roles for Poland in their push for European Championship qualification. They face Estonia on March 21 in a play off semi-final, where victory will mean a play off final against either Wales or Finland to decide who will compete in Germany this summer.
