The race unfolded as expected, with the world record holder improving her historic result by another two hundredths and crossing the finish line with an outstanding time of 7.65. French athlete Cyrena Samba-Mayela secured the silver with a time of 7.74.

Skrzyszowska’s better second half of the race ultimately gave her a medal, demonstrating remarkable consistency throughout the entire Sunday, improving her career high result earlier in the semifinals. The Polish team grabbed two medals at the Glasgow championships. On Saturday, Ewa Swoboda took second in the 60m race.
