The Olympic silver medalist claimed second place in the K1 slalom and third in the newly introduced K1 short slalom.
Zwolińska, 25, was narrowly outpaced in both events by France’s Camille Prigent, while Dutch competitor Martina Wegman edged her out in the short slalom, relegating the Pole to third.
Despite a challenging schedule that saw her arrive in China just a day before the competition, Zwolińska expressed satisfaction with her performance.
“This marks the end of the season for me,” she said via the Polish Canoe Federation. “I'm glad to wrap up the year with two medals. The event's organization was impressive, giving it a prestigious feel, though the atmosphere remained relaxed among the close-knit slalom community.”
The competition, organized under the International Canoe Federation’s banner but with a commercial flair, attracted elite athletes across canoeing disciplines. Meanwhile, Wiktor Głazunow added to Poland’s success by securing third in the C2 500m.
The World Canoe Polo Championships are also currently underway in Deqing.
