Sochan made it to the NBA in 2022 when he was selected by the Spurs with the ninth number in the draft.

He signed a four-year contract at the time, but the last two years were the so-called “team option,” meaning that after two years, the Spurs had the right to decide whether they wanted to continue to have the player on the roster.

The Pole managed to convince the club's owners with his performance on the floor. Over two seasons, he played in 130 games, in 126 as a starter, averaging 11.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

The 2024/25 NBA regular season will kick off on October 22. Spurs will play their first game two days later in Dallas against the local Mavericks team.
