The previous European Athletics Championships in 2022 were held in Munich, where the hosts, Germany, topped the medal table with 7 golds, 7 silvers, and 2 bronzes. This year, the Italian team delighted their home crowd by dominating the medal standings, while Poland’s athletes delivered impressive performances to finish ninth in the overall ranking.
