She delivered an outstanding performance in the final, finishing almost five seconds ahead of Slovakia’s Zuzana Paňková and more than six seconds ahead of Britain’s Mallory Franklin.
This victory marks Zwolińska’s second medal in Ljubljana. Earlier in the week, she secured a silver medal in the debut of the individual cross event.
Zwolińska’s impressive achievements continue from last year when she earned a bronze medal in the K1 slalom at the World Championships held at the Lee Valley course near London, which also qualified her for the Paris Olympics. At the previous Tokyo Olympics, she finished fifth in the same event.
