Agnieszka Mnich is one of the most recognizable figures in the world of football skills and in recent years she has dominated the world freestyle football scene. Since 2018, she has won every (except 2020) annual world championship, scooping her first title in Warsaw.
‘Aguśka’ kept up her remarkable run of success at last weekend’s competition in Nairobi. In the final face-off, the judges rated her performance superior to Jasmijn Janssen of the Netherlands.

The world champion also has other plans for her stay in Africa. Mnich, together with her partner Patrick Baeurer, who also performs freestyle football (they hold the Guinness World Record for the most number of passes from neck to neck), will visit several countries.
“We will be teaching tricks to children in Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, and later in Asia, among others. We will also be giving demonstrations on the streets. We want to pass on the passion to these people and change their lives at least a little bit. Freestyle is wonderful. If you have a lot of time and willingness, you can learn quickly,” Mnich explained in an interview with the Polish tabloid newspaper ‘Fakt’.

In the men’s category, the world champion was triumphed by Erleng Fagerli. The Norwegian is a legend of freestyle; in Nairobi, he became the world champion for the tenth time.
