Saturday’s success was Poland’s fifth medal of the Paris Paralympics and the second gold. Otowski took Poland’s
first gold of the games in the 100-meter backstroke on Thursday.
Lech Stoltman took a bronze in the ‘F55’ shot put and in table tennis, Karolina Pęk and Natalia Partyka won bronze in the women’s doubles (WD20) while Pęk also came third in the mixed doubles (XD17) with Piotr Grudzień. On Sunday, Grudzień will play in the men’s doubles final (MD18) with Patryk Chojnowski.
On Friday, Róża Kozakowska won gold and set a new world record in the club throw (F32) but was later
disqualified for using unauthorized equipment.
