Polish women kick off American football Czech league’s season with victory Poland’s only women’s American football team, Warsaw Sirens, opened their season with a 26:19 win during an away game against Jičín Windstorms on Saturday.

As the only competitively-playing women’s American football team in Poland, they have been part of the Czech Republic’s women’s league since 2019.

Touchdowns for Sirens were scored by Aniela Machowska, Natallia Korneeva, Bożena Malarek and Asia Młodecka-Goga.

Justyna Hołownia-Malinowska, the defense team’s Strong Safety, helped secure a comfortable point advantage with her ball interception in the Siren’s end zone.

They will play their next game, and the first home game of the season, against Prague Harpies on Saturday, September 21.
