The team, which also featured Swiss driver Louis Deletraz and Britain’s Jonny Edgar, clinched the LMP2 championship with their second-place finish.
Reflecting on the achievement, Kubica said: “It’s a very pleasant feeling to win. It’s never easy to take the championship, so it’s really good news.”
This marks the second ELMS championship in Kubica’s career, having won his first title in 2021 while racing for Belgian Team WRT in the LMP2 class.
Back then, he teamed up with Deletraz and Chinese driver Yifei Ye to win the overall series.
The ELMS is a long-distance race in which drivers have LMP prototypes and GT sports cars at their disposal.
This season, the Polish Inter Europol Competition team finished second overall. Although the team is headquartered near Warsaw, it did not field any Polish drivers this year.
Kubica was the only Pole to compete in this year’s ELMS.
