Otowski’s achievement is a promising start for the Polish team, which brought home an impressive 24 medals from the Tokyo Paralympics three years ago.
Those medals included seven gold, six silver, and 11 bronze, placing Poland 17th in the overall national rankings.
The Paris Paralympics have attracted approximately 4,400 participants, including 84 competitors from Poland.
Para-athletes from 168 countries are vying for 549 sets of medals across 22 disciplines, with the Games set to conclude on September 8.
