The ministry announced on Tuesday that 3,930 doctors and dentists who attained medical qualifications in Ukraine had received positive decisions regarding their requests to be allowed to work in Poland.

This decision forms the basis for applying to the Supreme Medical Council for a license to practice medicine.

Of these, 3,606 are doctors and dentists who received positive decisions according to the procedure of Article 61 of the Law on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict on the Territory of Ukraine.

A further 237 doctors and dentists received a positive decision under residency procedures, while the remaining 87 received permission under the conditional right to practice medicine.
