Nearly quarter of Polish firms seek new workers, report shows A report by the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) has found that 12% of Polish companies have hired new employees this year, and 24% plan to do so.

The report released on Thursday also found that some 69% of the companies that have already increased their staff aim to hire even more employees in 2024.

Additionally, 18% of those firms, which have not yet recruited any new staff members since the beginning of the year, want to do so.

The institute also wrote that companies in the construction industry and in the transport, freight forwarding, and logistics sectors are most often those who are planning to hire.

PIE also added that as many as 7% of companies have carried out layoffs in 2024 so far, and 11% of firms plan to do the same by the end of the year.
