According to the company, the warehouse sector in Poland is considered one of the fastest-growing in Europe and boasts some of the newest warehouses, with 54% of the facilities being built in the past five years.
The report found that following Poland’s entry into the EU, more than 30 million square meters of warehouse space have been rented, indicating a 20-fold growth in the sector over the last two decades.
The report further showed that developers have recently started introducing additional technical measures, including environmentally friendly solutions, leading to an increase in the quality of the numerous warehouse facilities currently being built.
For tenants and developers, modern technologies, automation, renewable energy, and other sustainable measures are gaining importance.
“We expect that in the coming years, the warehouse market in
Poland will develop at a relatively stable, although slightly slower pace,” said Maciej Kotowski, director of research and consultancy at JLL.
“It seems relatively safe to assume that within six to eight years the market may expand by approximately 20 million square meters, as indicated by demand forecasts and the capabilities of developers.”
